The Polaris Bike Pod Pro is top model in the Polaris Bicycle Case line up and it has only recently joined the Polaris range recently.

If you travel with your bike frequently or you are full time or part time professional cyclist or you just have a “hell expensive awesome bike” and you love it and want to protect it - this is the case for you !

The Bike Pod Pro is a fully rigid bicycle transport case made in the UK and is designed to protect your bike and give the highest possible protection when you travel the world with your trusty bicycle, whether it be for recreation or racing it will keep your prized bike safe.

Polaris Bike Pod Pro is made from a special composite polyethylene, polyethylene is used extensively in plumbing pipes, water tanks for example - because it’s very strong and durable, it can take pressure, bending and abuse better than steel can in lot of cases.

The Polaris Bike Pod Pro utilizes  a clam shell moulded design that fully opens up so both halves can lay flat on the floor, this makes packing easy, internal foam padding for bike and wheel protection & 4 strong lockable draw latches which are counter sunk into the case so they don’t get bashed off in transport.

The Polaris Bike Pod Pro case is a well-conceived and executed design with strong quality materials and construction and I wouldn’t be surprised if you could even hand down to the younger generation when you’re riding days have finished – it may outlast you! It’s nice to see something that has this sort of build quality.

Removable moulded pull handle makes it very easy to pull the case around on precision pivoting castor wheels that are sunken deep into the cases structure to keep them well protected for harsh Airline baggage handler treatment.

This may be a small point in some people’s minds but because the case is a fully rigid design it basically gives the castors a great base to work from so this case will pull effortlessly in a stable fashion around the Air Port making your travel much easier.

The top corners of the case have holes in both sides, these holes have specifically positioned so additional curly cable locks can be passed through the case to lock case for additional security or if you need to lock the case to post while you go to the toilet or something – very handy if traveling alone.

The case has a cool shape that looks purposeful and modern but as with all good industrial, form and function plays a big part in the overall design of the case. The case really will only travel/stack well standing it’s wheels, it will not stand well on its ends, its sides or completely upside down. This is what you want as prevents or at least makes it very hard for the baggage handlers to stack the bike in any other way but on its wheels. The case is this standing on the wheels position is very strong, its should also be noted that in this position and the bicycle frame and the wheels traveling inside the case are also traveling in the best position for greatest strength – this is a  Very smart design!

The Polaris Bike Pod Pro bicycle case is kick arse STRONG ! I can straddle it like horse and I weigh 90Kg plus and I have seen the case pushed down 2 story stair case with no damage to the bike and nothing other than scuffing on the case. I would not try that with any other case on the market – IMPRESSIVE!

When your bike has to get there without question in one piece – I don’t think there is a better option in the market place right now.

Recommended for road bikes with 700C wheels but will also fit Dual Suspension AM bikes 26inch wheel and 650B wheel Mountain Bikes
